Temwa Carbon Balance project Officer, Malumbo Soko shares his thanks for your support of our Carbon Balance project. Temwa Carbon Balance helps to tackle deforestation in Nkhata Bay North, an area the size of Somerset that has seen 20% of forests cut down in just 20 years!
In this project, we plant trees and ensure those trees stay in the ground. We also support agroforestry activities like forest beekeeping and planting fruit trees. This supports stewardship of the natural landscape, while bringing sustainable incomes and added nutrition to the farmer groups involved.
